The challenging vocabulary was carefully placed in a familiar setting with a clear explanation. Who doesn't want A HEART OF GOLD!!!!
I read my son lots of books but this one he loves the most. I hope he remembers the lessons it teaches because they are timeless. I think I benefit from the book more than he does. lol
My wife and I gave this book to our granddaughters for Christmas. It's a beautifully written and illustrated book and greatly needed for this generation as well as many to follow. Every parent and grandparent should have a copy of this book at home. If each family invested in this book and used it to teach children important morals and values, our country would be on a much healthier path.

It's my first great granddaughter, and now it’s time to read to her. I have many choices, but this book shares the values and Spirit that I want to communicate to her. It teaches the golden rule (among other things). The child in the book gets ready for her birthday party. In addition to all the wonderful gifts, she also gets some other “gifts” she did not expect, Loyalty, positivity, tenacity, unconditional love, and a sense of humor. Priceless and timeless. Makes you both feel good all over. A must and an easy read.
